Some mountain/glacier spam from our trip last weekend to Glacier National Park in Montana. We stayed 3 hours south in Missoula, which was totally worth it and turned out to be like an awesome underrated/secret Portland where there was tons of vegan food for us. Photos really don’t do that area justice, it was breathtaking. A hundred years ago there were over 150 glaciers in that area. Now there are only 25. It’s cool to have seen something that probably won’t exist anymore within my lifetime, as sad as that is. They expect all the glaciers to have melted by 2020.
The first day we were in the park we went hiking and did one of the toughest trails in West Glacier. It was four hours long and each hour climbed another 1000 ft up. The next day we couldn’t feel our legs so we did an 8 hour historic/scenic bus tour.
ALSO- you can’t tell from the photo, but that second to last one is me shooting down a 3,000 foot drop.
I think next on the list is Alaska.
